Happy for Yayay

The proud mom, fellow woman in media Angelina G. Goloy, of the girl, Giselle Goloy who took the photo,  sent me the public Facebook link showing this London bus with the tourism department's message. The FB message reads:
"Share of the week: We are sharing the photo of Giselle Amanda Goloy! Here's a picture of how we are telling London that it's more fun in the Philippines. As Giselle says, 'There's Big Ben!'" Congratulations, Yayay (Giselle's nickname in the homeland; she is a resident of Australia)! This tita can't wait for your homecoming so we can share more "kilig-to-the-bones" moments!

Pandin one summer day with the ladies who lunch

The best account of this first field trip of an informal group of women journalists, a.k.a., ladies who lunch most of the time at the Ortigas Center when one of the members is having a birthday, is still by the great dame herself who'll spank me and crack my fingers if I disclose her identity. Just go to this old link to relish her prose: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/20755/women-who-lunch-take-the-oars-on-lake-placid.
All these photos are courtesy of the angel in the group who's a wizard with her cell phone camera. The occasion was the birthday of the Gemini in the group who's quite notorious among us for dividing the Philippines into two socioeconomic classes, the rich and the poor. She seems to have given up on the middle class ever growing and shrinking that gap.
As for their kaladkarin friend, ever-ready with a swimsuit in her bag at the first SMS about a trip out of town, she would rather go jump into Lake Pandin in Laguna after a good lunch at the first opportunity.
Goodbye, longest summer of 2011! Till we meet once more in 2012.
